Up for Van is a web app for planning day trips, weekends and longer journeys, discovering places and sharing travel experiences. Inspired by van life and the outdoors, it also welcomes travellers using campers, cars or tents.
Explore the mapFind inspiration nearby
Search for a destination or use your location to explore nature, culture, local food, overnight stops, parking, water points and camper services. Combine the categories that interest you.
Area guides distinguish regional destinations from nearby discoveries. European coverage is growing and remains incomplete. Source information can change.
Plan on your computer, take your trip on your phone
With an account you can save places and itineraries, organise stops by day and add notes. Sign in with the same account to find your saved plans on another device.
Use Up for Van in a browser or add it to your home screen on compatible devices. AI-assisted planning is experimental, subject to access restrictions and usage limits, and is not available without limits to everyone.
Share useful experiences
Propose a place, add photos and experiences, or share practical details about access, facilities and prices you have checked. New place proposals are reviewed before appearing on the map.
Helpful votes on photos and experiences earn community credits, which unlock badges and contribute to the ranking. These credits are neither money nor AI usage credits.
Connect through common interests
Share itineraries with your contacts in the app. Nature, villages, local food and outdoor travel bring together people with ideas and experiences to exchange.
Your location is not shared with other users. Your photo or avatar can identify your position on your own map; public presence on the map is not active.
A growing community
Up for Van is in beta. Its archive brings together online data, travel guides and community contributions with source attribution. Coverage and features are developing with feedback from travellers.
Check opening hours, prices, access and local rules before travelling. A parking marker is not permission to stay overnight.
